The Music
Both Matt Brown Jazz on the Cape and Ten String Swing mainly play music from the Great American Songbook: Jerome Kern, Ellington, Cole Porter, George Gershwin -- all the classic songs that have stood the test of time. Additionally, both groups play familiar bossa novas and sambas, as well as the occasional song by the Beatles or other pop groups -- sometimes we play Radiohead or even Muddy Waters. The groups primarily provide music for cocktails and dinner, although occasionally will add a drummer when a host would like guests to dance to ballroom-style music -- rumbas, fox trots and waltzes will follow, and even the occasional tango!
